After Mercadinho....

I already spoke about going to Mercadinho today…well, we are back and I can just say it was great experience. Kids took seriously a salesman part and they were enjoying it so much. I also liked selling my chocolate and blueberry muffins, offering my grissini harts…. For sure we are going to repeat this experience.

Love...Ljubav...Amor...

Personally I don’t believe in Valentines, I think that when you love you love 24/7...to give presents, to go for dinner out to spend time together is whenever it is possible...
But anyway...I made today this grissini harts to give to people around me I care about ..my kids, my friends, my neighbours, M. ,strangers on the street …

Mercadinho

I don’t know if you already heard about Mercadinho ...We went once to see it and loved it. It is great to see kids negotiating about price of toys, exchanging between themselves and having a great fun. So some weeks ago my daughter ,by herself, packed a two full bags of toys she doesn’t play with and then she called me and announced she wants to sell it at CCB kids market. I was quite surprised but I said I will participate also, making some cakes and going with her....So last weekend I tried this recipe from my mother ,changed a bit and I think it will be one of cakes I will bring there.
This Sunday ,14th, all 4 of us are going there to sell toys and cakes :-) ....you are all invited!!!The only rule of market : max price of everything to be sold is 1 euro!!!

Crusty Italian loaf

Recently I discovered this great recipe in Ottolenghi cookbook..since then I am making it almost every day. Most of people would think that making bread at home is something really complicate but I can sure you it is not, and it is really worth. I make ‘starter’ a night before and then a next day in the afternoon add a rest of ingredients ,leave it to rest ,do some ‘streching’ and that is it..for breakfast we have fresh homemade bread.

Flyer

Saturday morning was a time of flyers distribution.I went together with my princess to the ‘main’ points of interest in my neighbourhood to leave flyers.
It was really funny to see her, she was really embarrassed at first but at the end she was saying to everybody ‘If you want some great cakes, you can find here my mother’s phone number and don’t hesitate to call.’
We had a lot of fun!!!
So ... I have an official PR of my project :-)

KitchenAid

Number one object of desire for a long time for me was KitchenAid stand up mixer.
First it was visual impact, its vintage design, colors… I find it irresistible. Then I started reading some overviews and realized it’s ‘powers’ :-)
So.. this year a Santa brought me one, I was jumping of happiness. Since then use it on daily basis…it is great!!!!

Chocolate Cookies

I always admire a difference between my two kids ..in everything and also in taste for food.

My son loves sweets, all kind .He is always around me when I bake something asking to lick spoons and plates ...

Making cookies is something they both like to participate in, but if they are chocolate cookies then he is lucky to have it all for himself!!!

Plum tart

Last week I was sick at home and unfortunately without big appetite (I say unfortunately because for person that admire food as I am that is really bad to happened).Second day of staying home I got desire to eat something sweet ,creamy and light…after some time of thinking what can I make and for what I have ingredients I came up with this plum tart. It is really light and fresh, made me feel better immediately after a first spoon :-)
