Cherry Cupcakes

Yes..one more birthday of a very, very good friend , cherry lover (as I am).I couldn’t decide if I would make cake or cupcakes ...but then I mixed few recipes and came with this 100% cherry taste cupcakes, cherry base , cherry frosting and cherry on top of it :-)
I made her surprise and sent it to her office...it seems everybody wanted to eat it already for breakfast :-) I hope at the end of a day she doesn’t find empty box in the fridge

Sim..mais um aniversário de uma grande, grande amiga, amante de cerejas (como eu). Não conseguia decidir se ia fazer um bolo ou cupcakes… então misturei algumas receitas e fiz estes cupcakes com 100% de sabor a cereja, base com cereja, creme de cereja e cereja no topo :-)
Fiz-lhe uma surpresa e enviei-lhe para o escritório… parece que todos queriam comê-los logo como pequeno-almoço :-) Espero que no fim do dia não encontra no frigorífico a caixa vazia

Plum Clafouti

I admit..I have crash on all desserts with fruits, especially in summer.
So whenever I go to market and buy fruits I immediately start thinking what can I make with it. This Saturday I bought some plums on Principe Real market and I made some Plum Clafouti. It is quite moist and light, really simple to make and above all..it is tasty :-)

Admito.. tenho uma admiração especial por todas as sobremesas com frutas, especialmente no Verão.
Portanto sempre que vou ao mercado compro frutas e começo imediatamente a pensar no que posso fazer com elas. Este Sábado comprei algumas ameixas no mercado do Príncipe Real e fiz Clafouti de Ameixa. É bastante húmido e leve, muito simples de fazer e, acima de tudo… é saboroso :-)

Rhubarb mousse with yogurt and Berry gelee

Rhubarb…I really like it’s taste in cakes, and since some weeks ago all cooking blogs are full of tempting recipes with it, but unfortunately it is not easy to find it in Portugal.
So..when last Friday I went to visit Miosotis ,organic supermarket, I got so excited when I found it there. Off course I immediately bought it and already on Saturday I was cooking it. My first choice, from the list of recipes I would like to make with rhubarb ,was rhubarb mousse with yogurt and berry gelee...and I loved it.
It was great choice for hot weekend we had. Bit acid, light and refreshing...


Ruibarbo… gosto mesmo do sabor nos bolos, e desde há algumas semanas todos os blogs de culinária estão cheios de receitas tentadoras, mas infelizmente não é fácil de encontrar em Portugal.
Portanto… quando fui na última Sexta-Feira visitar o Miosotis , supermercado biológico, fiquei muito contente quando o encontrei lá. Claro que comprei imediatamente e no Sábado já o estava a cozinhar. A minha primeira escolha, da lista de receitas que gostaria de fazer com ruibarbo, foi a mousse de ruibarbo com geleia de bagas… e adorei.
Foi uma excelente escolha para o fim-de-semana quente que tivemos. Um bocadinho ácida, leve e refrescante…

Lemon and Limoncello Cupcakes

These ones are definitely cupcakes for a lemon lover.
One of these lovers, friend of mine, made 40 this week and that was a great reason for me to put myself in action.

Monsters Cupcakes

My son’s birthday was last week but with all of this things going on we were not able to make a party …so we did small picnic party today.
He has a special request for his birthday cake…MONSTERS!!! :-)
So..last night I made some cupcakes with green and yellow icing and when I started to decorate them with gums, M. got so enthusiastic about it that most of decoration he did by himself. :-)
And what a success they made on the party….you just can’t imagine :-)

O aniversário do meu filho foi na semana passada mas, com tudo o que estava a acontecer, não tivemos hipótese de lhe fazer uma festa… então fizemos ontem uma pequena festa pic-nic.
Ele teve um pedido especial para o bolo de aniversário... MONSTROS!!! :-)
Portanto… ontem à noite fiz alguns cupcakes com cobertura verde e amarela e, quando comecei a decorá-los com gomas, o M. ficou tão entusiasmado que acabou por fazer a maior parte da decoração :-)
E que sucesso eles fizeram na festa… não podem imaginar :-)

Ecological business card

Here is our ‘new’ business card :-). I wanted to come with something ecological and here it is, paper we used to put to ‘Ecoponto’ for recycling now we recycle by ourselves.

Mundo Mix impressions

Mundo Mix is behind us. I feel really tired but.. SOOOOO happy!
Just
*to hear the mouthful ‘mmmmm...’ sound after the first bite,
*to hear one English girl coming back to the stand just to say ‘It was the best cupcake I’ve ever had’ after she ate an After Eight cupcake,
*to hear one lady saying: ’I feel like I have 15 years again, eating cookies that my grandmother used to make for me’, after she ate chocolate chip cookies,
*to hear another lady saying: ’Now I don’t need to go to NY.. I know I tried best cupcakes ever’,
to hear all of that, to see people satisfied and coming back to take more.. it was worth all the effort, the night cooking, not sleeping...
I know it may sound as an ‘Oscar Award’ speech but I am 100% sure I would not be able to do it if I didn’t have M. and friends support and help...and smiles and nice words of all these people that passed by our stand. Thank you!!!!




O Mundo Mix ficou para trás. Sinto-me muito cansada mas.. TÃÃÃÃOOOO feliz!
Pelo facto
*de ouvir um som ‘mmmmm…’ de uma boca cheia depois da primeira dentada,
*de ouvir uma rapariga Inglesa voltar ao stand apenas para dizer que ‘Foi o melhor cupcake que alguma vez comi’ depois de ter levado um cupcake After Eight,
*de ouvir uma senhora dizer que ‘Sinto que tenho agora 15 anos novamente, a comer as bolachas que a minha avó me costumava fazer’, depois de comer uns cookies chocolat chip,
*de ouvir outra senhora a dizer: ‘Agora não preciso de ir a NY.. eu sei que provei os melhores cupcakes de sempre’,
de ouvir tudo isso, de ver as pessoas satisfeitas e voltarem para levar mais.. valeu todo o esforço, as noites na cozinha, não dormir…
Eu sei que pode parecer um discurso de ‘Galardão de Oscar’ mas tenho 100% de certeza que não seria capaz se não tivesse a ajuda e o apoio do M. e das minhas amigas… e os sorrisos e as palavras simpáticas de todas as pessoas que passaram pelo nosso stand. Muito obrigado!!!!

After Eight Cupcake

Everybody who knows my sister knows that she is a great fan of After Eight. She doesn’t like chocolate, you can put any kind of chocolate desert in front of her she wouldn’t even look at it ..but After Eight....
So...I was trying to find mint extract for quite some time and finally I got it, and immediately made these chocolate mint cupcakes. Now..I will imagine that she is next to me and that we are drinking cappuccino and eating cupcakes together :-).

Todas as pessoas que conhecem a minha irmã sabem que ela é uma grande fã de After Eight. Ela não gosta de chocolate, podem pôr qualquer tipo de sobremesa de chocolate à sua frente que ela nem olha... mas After Eight....
Portanto... eu andava a tentar encontrar extracto de menta há algum tempo e finalmente encontrei, e fiz imediatamente entes cupcakes de chocolate e menta. Agora... vou imaginar que ela está ao meu lado e que estamos a beber cappuccino e a comer os cupcakes juntas :-).
