Something from my grandmother....

On my last visit home my sister gave me something from my grandmother house I just loved. It is homemade towel. That I put at my kitchen wall as soon as I came back.
I asked my friend who studied English to translate, it was really hard and what is written is something like this:

Who washes their face gives a penny
except the father-in-law
who had spent all the money
to ask my hand from my parents
