Saudade....

Saudade is what I felt and am still feeling. Saudade, as Portuguese people say, is an untranslatable word. It's a specific feeling, and there are a lot of fado songs and poetry describing it.

Personally, I think it's good to have this feeling. Like this we know that some unforgettable moments or people were in our life, and we feel saudade for it. It's a part of life.

I had a great weekend! Went to the market, had lunch in our favorite restaurant, made potato moussaka for the Sunday lunch, visited the LX Factory Fair, and there I noticed this 'We Love Saudade' on one car {*smile}.

How was your weekend?

  5. Saudade - for me, is reminding the good moments with family and friends. Is reminding the birth of our daughters, ... For me it is not sad it is the will to be with the past moments one more time. The sad moments I see them as experience for the future and try to look at them as not so bad moments ... complicated hahahaha
I spent my weekend with family, in the front side of the house looking to the Douro vines, laughing and talking... Wishing for another weekend like this - já estou com saudades :)
    Nice week

  10. I found your beautiful blog through Aran's and I am so glad I did!
I am Italian, I live in beautiful Langhe and I had a nice weekend biking in sunny fields and enjoying a simple picnic in between. It was nice --warm weather, good food. Whenever I leave this place I feel a little homesick: there's nothing like this, I know it, and I keep reminding me how lucky I am every day!
